Xena Health
Our Insurance Policy
Insurance Policy at Xena Health
At Xena Health, we are frequently asked whether we accept insurance. We DO utilize your insurance for Labs and Medication, but not for our clinic fee. To help clarify, we’ve outlined our approach below.
Our Philosophy on Insurance
We believe the traditional insurance model isn’t well-suited to the level of care we provide. Our goal is to spend quality time evaluating and treating each patient. Unfortunately, insurance often limits the time available for patient care. At Xena Health, we prioritize educating our patients about their health concerns, treatment options, and how we can support them. This requires a thorough and personalized approach that the insurance model typically doesnβt accommodate.
What Can I Expect from My Appointment?
Our initial consultations are one hour long, during which we thoroughly educate patients about menopause, perimenopause, hormone therapy options, and treatment plans. This extended time allows us to explore other relevant health concerns, including gynecological issues. We believe in providing comprehensive care, which requires timeβa resource that the insurance model often limits.
What Does My Insurance Cover?
While we don’t bill insurance for consultations, we do utilize it for ordering labs and medications. Additionally, we provide “superbills,” which you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement of your appointment costs.
The Value of Our Model
Personalized Attention
Your initial visit will consist of a Full 1-Hour Appointment with the provider. Our focus is on spending quality time understanding your health concerns, often addressing multiple concerns in a single appointment, time permitting.
Flexible Access
Without the constraints of insurance-driven volume, we can offer same-day or next-day appointments, ensuring you receive timely care without long waits.
Follow-Up Care
Our commitment doesnβt end after the initial visit. We provide ongoing support and follow up to ensure you get the care you need. Weβre dedicated to continuing care beyond the treatment phase.
Convenience
For our hormone therapy plans, most follow-up appointments can be handled via tele-health after the initial consultation, minimizing the need for repeated office visits.
Transparent Costs
With us, there are no unexpected bills or confusing charges. Our pricing is clear and predictable because we donβt work within the complex insurance billing structure.
Respect For Your Time
Our goal is to address as many of your health concerns as possible in a single appointment, unlike the insurance model where multiple visits may be required to cover all issues. We understand your time is valuable, and we strive to provide care that respects that.
At Xena Health, we believe in delivering quality care, education, and personalized treatment plansβall without the limitations of the traditional insurance model.
