Common Questions

Before you call.

Do you accept insurance?

We don't bill insurance directly for the appointment — and that's intentional. At Xena Health, we've chosen a model that puts your care first. This gives us the freedom to spend more time with you, dig deeper into your symptoms, and create treatment plans that actually work. We do submit medication and labs through your insurance. You're always welcome to use HSA/FSA cards, and we can provide a superbill if you'd like to submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Many of our patients find the personalized attention and faster results well worth the visit.

Can you bill labs and medications through insurance?

Yes — we submit lab orders and prescriptions through your insurance whenever possible. If you don't have insurance, we've negotiated discounted clinic pricing with our lab partners to keep costs accessible.

Do you accept HSA or FSA?

Yes — HSA and FSA cards are accepted on a case-by-case basis. Let us know in advance if you'd like to use one and we'll confirm eligibility.

How much does it cost?

Your initial consultation is $250, and follow-up visits are $150 for the first three months while we fine-tune your treatment and help you feel like yourself again. Once your hormones are dialed in, we transition to quarterly check-ins to maintain that healthy balance and continue supporting you on this long-term journey.

We're able to bill your insurance for labs and medications whenever possible. If you don't have insurance, we've secured discounted clinic pricing with our lab partners to keep things affordable.

Many of our patients say this is the best investment they've made in their health — with quicker answers, more time with a provider who truly listens, and a care plan that finally gets to the root of the problem. Still unsure? Take a look at our Google Reviews to see what others are saying.

How does the appointment work?

Your first visit to the clinic is for a lab draw, which gives us the foundational data we need to understand what's happening. During this visit, we'll also fill out some forms and schedule your follow-up appointment.

That second visit is where the real work begins — a deep, thoughtful conversation about your symptoms, goals, and how you want to feel.

Using your lab results, questionnaires, and our conversations, we create a personalized plan to address any hormonal imbalances and educate you on options like hormone therapy, peptide support, and strategies for restoring balance. Everything is explained clearly and with compassion.

We prefer the first visit to be in person so we can connect and answer your questions face-to-face, but we're happy to accommodate telehealth if needed.

What hormone delivery methods do you offer?

We offer a range of bioidentical hormone options, including estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA. We tailor your therapy based on your symptoms, labs, and preferences — this may include creams, pills, patches, injections, or EvexiPEL pellets.

Do you accept walk-ins?

No — all visits are by appointment. This is how we ensure that every patient receives the full time and attention their visit deserves. Same-week appointments are usually available for new patients.

What if I'm already on HRT with another provider?

We accept patients who are transferring from another provider. Bring your most recent labs and any current prescriptions to your first visit. We'll review where you are and determine what adjustments, if any, are warranted.

What's the best way to reach you quickly?

For existing patients: the patient portal. For new patients or general inquiries: call 702-840-3327 during business hours. We return all calls within one business day.
